Templeton Welcomed as New Member of The American Board of Trial Advocates

CHARLESTON, SC – February 13, 2014 – Wall Templeton & Haldrup is proud to announce Founding Shareholder Morgan S. Templeton’s selection as a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Prospective members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience, and exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism. Members are very active on a local and national level.

Since its inception in 1957, ABOTA’s primary mission has been the preservation of the civil jury trial right guaranteed by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA works to elevate the standards of integrity, honor, and courtesy in the legal profession. The general purposes of the Association are to foster improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy to the end that individual litigants may receive more effective representation and the general public be benefited by more efficient administration of justice consistent with time-tested and traditional principles of litigation.

Templeton’s practice focuses upon complex litigation matters involving products liability, insurance coverage, bad faith, construction, and serious injuries.

Templeton’s accomplishments also include an “AV Preeminent” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, and the  honor of inclusion in Best Lawyers in America since 2011, including the Best Lawyers’ 2014 Charleston, SC Insurance Law “Lawyer of the Year.” In addition, he has been named a South Carolina Super Lawyer since 2012.
