CHARLESTON, SC – February 23, 2015 – Wall Templeton & Haldrup would like to congratulate founding shareholder, Mark Wall, and managing shareholder, Neil Haldrup, on their 40th and 25th anniversary of practicing law respectively.

Born in the state of New York, Mark grew up in Charleston, graduating from Porter-Gaud in 1967. He obtained his AB degree from St. Anselm College before he began his legal career in 1974, when he received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina. His practice began at Bailey & Buckley, where he became a partner three years later. In his time practicing, he has worked in six firms, four of which he was a founding partner.

Among his many achievements throughout his 40 years, Mark was recognized for his professional excellence, receiving a Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ of “AV preeminent” in 1983. He served as the President of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association, and was admitted to the United States Supreme Court. In 2010, The Best Lawyers in America© selected Mark as a “Best Lawyer” for Insurance Law and in 2012 South Carolina Super Lawyer selected him as a Super Lawyer in Personal Injury Defense. These two organizations have continued to recognize Mark as a top lawyer.

This year, Mark was nominated as Best Lawyers‘ 2015 “Lawyer of the Year” for Insurance Law in Charleston, SC. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.”

Neil obtained his Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University in 1986 before he received his Juris Doctor from the Indiana University of Law in 1989. While attending law school, Neil worked as a field engineer at Charles C. Brandt Construction Company.

Neil began his law practice began at Olgetree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart. In his thirteen and a half years at Olgetree, he became a shareholder and was admitted to the U.S. District Court in the District of South Carolina and the 4th Circuit of Appeals. In 2003, Neil founded Elmore & Wall, where he was the managing shareholder. While at Elmore & Wall, he became a certified mediator and an arbitrator for the American Arbitration for construction disputes. In July 2011, Neil became a founding member and managing shareholder of Wall Templeton & Haldrup, P.A.

Among his many achievements throughout his 25 years, Neil co-authored a chapter in “Construction Defects,” published by the ABA in 2012. A year later, Neil was a contributing author of the 2013 South Carolina – Continuing Legal Education’s Construction Law Desk Book with content ranging from licensure to construction defect claims to alternative dispute resolution. In 2014, Neil was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America© as a “Best Lawyer” in Insurance Law in Charleston, SC. This year, Neil received an Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ of “AV preeminent.”
